Description

Three-piece Russian-inspired evening ensemble composed of a taffeta and velvet dress and a velvet bolero and cumber band. The dress has a full length poofy black silk taffeta skirt lined with red taffeta with a graceful train. Furthermore, the dress has a drop waist, a strapless black velvet bodice with a mock-lace up peasant centre-front closure and sweet-heart neckline. On top of the dress is a hip-length red velvet bolero jacket with leg-o-mutton gathered sleeves, deep cuffs a black ribbon tie closure at the neck and rounded edges along the chest and around the neck. In addition, there is black embroidery and beading along each side of the front of the jacket, along the hem, cuffs, and along the top neckline of the back of the jacket that ford a "V" with a black tassel hanging at the bottom of the "V". The pattern of the beading along the entire jacket is squiggly/ curved swooping lines. Lastly, there is a red velvet cumber band with the same black beading/ pattern along the entire piece and black knotted tassels along the entire edge of the band hanging over the hips.
